We are a small custom spinning only mill. I have a quad output pin drafter and a Whitin Roberts 16 spindle ring spinner. I produce a soft light yarn in five different weights, heavy worsted, light worsted, sport and fingering and lace weight. Our custom spinning mill is available to anyone who is raising fiber producing animals or just has a stash of fiber you need spun. We also produce pin drafted roving. This is a wonderful product for the hand spinner. It reduces the size of commercial roving so there is no more need to strip or pre draft and for your home raised fibers it aligns the fibers better after carding and evens out the size and will increase your spinning pleasure.

I have been in business for the past 7 years and work mostly by myself. I have no minimum amount except that anything under 1 pound will be charged at the pound rate. I spin wool, wool blends, and exotic blends. I enjoy working with the fiber and take the time to work with the properties of each fleece. I don’t produce a generic yarn. I require loose roving when you send in your fiber and unless you specify to combine batches each bag is processed individually. This may mean there will be very slight differences in your finished product. So if you are sending in several bags of similar fiber you might want them blended together for a homogenous yarn. Some exotic fibers will require at least 20 percent wool added. This is enough to help the fibers through the pin drafting process. We will no longer be processing Alpaca or Llama fiber. Due to the lengthy processing time and special setup required we have decided to eliminate this one. We use these in the spinning mill to produce some of our yarns and hand spinning roving.
